Back at the turn of the century, a “cyber-zine” once lived, under the leadership of David Torresen. Called Songbirds, and dedicated to the stellar singers of the Great American Songbook, it featured interviews and CD reviews by numerous writers (not just me!) who were better than almost anybody writing in the popular press.
