The seven-screen indie theater in my neighborhood has had two of its screens claimed by one or another movie starring the flavor-of-the-year actress for months on end now.
I think there was once a movie chain called the Jerry Lewis Theaters, so there you go.
Funny/sad recollection: I was once at the McClurg Court Theater where I saw Chris Farley in the row in front of me (at one time he was popping out enough titles to have a theater named for himself). At the end of the movie, he did something I’ve never seen another human being do–he went to the candy counter and purchased a jumbo popcorn, box of candy, and a large drink–to go.
